We at Saola Foundation are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Fundraising and Communications Director to join our team. This role requires someone who is passionate about wildlife conservation with a proven nonprofit background. It’s essential attributes include creativity, excellent English writing skills, strong social media and communications skills. Creativity, outstanding written English, and good social and communication abilities are some of the things required in this position. Get more information about us here linktr.ee/saolafoundation Key Responsibilities: Strategy Implementation & Fundraising; Ensure our all-inclusive fundraising strategy achieves its financial targets for The Saola Foundation. Identify donors’ cultivation through coordination with CEO, executive assistant as well grant assistants Undertake annual fund raising calendar activities such as events campaigns and donor correspondences Look into creative fundraising avenues targeting new donor segments while maintaining existing clients Collaborate with CEO to formulate long term plans for sustainable expansion as well as increase impact Grant Management; Supervise development team in identifying grant opportunities reflective of Saola Foundation mission & objectives Oversee application process by ensuring appropriate write-ups from development team Manage a portfolio of grants and maintain deadlines Communication and Outreach; Manage our public relations work to improve the foundation’s visibility in the market. Oversee communications team as they prepare newsletters, social media, fundraising campaigns etc. Assist communications team to optimize website for fundraising and donor engagement Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years nonprofit development experience with an established track record of successful funding efforts Passionate about wildlife conservation and Saola Foundation mission Extraordinary creative thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent written English as well as oral communication skills with a gift for story-telling Understanding of key principles that guide fundraising processes Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities to enable effective teamwork within our group and build relationships Experience of working in public relations including managing media Formal qualifications in not-for-profit management, marketing or related discipline Ability to work independently with minimum supervision within specified timeline Beneficial Qualifications Familiarity with the Conservation Measures Partnership’s Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation as a central component Informing Communications Content Experience in conservation specific to South East Asia
