The Role

Location: While this position is posted in a specific location, all of Oyster’s positions are fully remote and you can work from home. To create the best experience for our new hire, this role requires you to be based within +3 / -3 UTC.

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the monthly cost analysis, controlling, and reporting, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and preventing revenue leakage. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in the decision-making process by providing in-depth support on external payroll and associated costs validation and reconciliation, and while identifying opportunities for process optimization.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in Finance Operations within a global, complex, and fast-paced organization, ideally in a high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex financial processes, leading process improvement and automation initiatives, and driving cross-functional projects to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.

What you’ll do…

Ensure accurate cost reconciliation and provide detailed information to the AR team to support precise and timely customer billing, ensuring no revenue leakage.

Oversee and perform monthly Gross vs. Contra reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with reporting standards

Proactively address and resolve complex cost-related issues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Support month-end closing and accrual activities while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Proactively identify process improvements and automation opportunities for reporting and reconciliation workflows to enhance operational efficiency

Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analyses and scenario analysis to deliver actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and identify risks and opportunities

Continuously deepen understanding of the business and stay updated in a dynamic environment.

Lead and manage internal projects while serving as a key participant in cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and improve financial operations.

Act as a subject matter expert to assist the AR team in resolving client invoicing inquiries.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.

Requirements

At least 5 years of Finance Operations (including Financial Controlling, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Data Analytics, Financial Analysis)

Proven experience in cost management, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes

Master in Google Doc/MS Office applications (Google Sheets/Excel-advanced) and business intelligence tools

Proficiency in working with financial and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar ERP systems).

Clear and concise communicator; both orally and in writing

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience in building financial automation (i.e. integrations between critical finance/data systems)
