About the Role:

As a Front-End Engineer at CrowdStrike, you will collaborate with a skilled group of professionals to create and maintain the Falcon’s user interface. This will offer clients residing anywhere in the world an excellent user experience which they can rely on for 24 hours every day for averting cunning adversaries’ operations.

Ember is our JavaScript framework language but don’t worry if you know React, Angular or Vue.js because Ember will come easy to you once you get used to it with its codebase. Since we only support evergreen browsers, we can push the boundaries of what’s possible on the web platform while working with truly massive amounts of data. For ideal applicants who appreciate users’ needs and love finding answers in non-standard dynamic problems.

About the Team:

You will join the Data Connectors group responsible for building front-end systems that import data from various third-party sources into our application ecosystem. Working closely with UX designers and QA teams ensures uniform user experience across all our products while discussions with product management and backend engineers allow us create product specifications, feature lists, etc. We are looking for someone who can not only lead in delivering our products but also take up their technical sides as well as help team to define architecture and consult stakeholders on scope and priorities.

What You’ll Do:

Develop single page applications using Ember.js which is written in JavaScript

Engage in code reviews of your own work and that of other UI Engineers

Proactively develop tools supporting your developers’ productivity

Create automated tests to verify your code

Engage in activities together with Cloud Engineers, User Researchers, Technical Writers, QA Analysts, UI Designers, Product Managers among others

Always staying informed about new challenges and increasing complexities emerging within cyber security industry

What You’ll Need:

A desire to collaborate closely with users, designers & testers to deliver quality software that solves problems.

Deep knowledge of Javascript as well as significant commercial experience building thick-client apps using such frameworks as Ember, AngularJS, Backbone or React/Flux.

Experience of testing frameworks, tools and methods like QUnit, Mocha & Selenium.

Functional knowledge & passion for creating genuinely accessible interfaces

Strong HTML & CSS skills with bonus points for experience in animations, scalable/modular CSS approaches or SCSS/LESS preprocessors.

Knowledge of client-side build processes & tools – Git, Yarn, NPM, Ember CLI etc.
