How we work
You will have autonomy and ownership of all data analytics for your area of the business. Working cross-functionally, with product managers, data engineers, and stakeholder teams, you will create, manage and grow your data domain and business intelligence infrastructure. From building product analytics dashboards to deep-diving into our users’ data and driving the strategic direction of the product, you’ll be at the forefront of Atom’s innovation engine. You will also be part of the Analytics Guild which is where data engineers, analysts and analytics engineers from across the business maintain a centralised roadmap for core projects.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with a number of teams to gain a deep understanding of their data requirements and business objectives;
  • Work closely with the data engineers and analytics engineers in your business area to develop and maintain robust and consistent data models to power reporting, self-serve analysis, and deeper strategic analysis;
  • Conduct regular self-directed analysis that will guide and support your area of the business in identifying opportunity areas and making key strategic decisions;
  • Present your findings and recommendations to key stakeholders effectively;
  • Build and maintain dashboards and other data products that support your business function(s) with decision making on a day-to-day basis;
  • Monitor your business function’s KPIs, and identify drivers of under and over-performance. Communicate this effectively to the relevant teams to support them in optimising performance;
  • Support your team with designing, implementing and interpreting the results of A/B tests;
  • You will influence the overall direction of data in your business area and have an opportunity to shape the future of the product.

  • You can create reusable solutions to fulfil a brief and support future changes;
  • You are a highly motivated contributor with excellent teamwork skills;

  • Experience using Google BigQuery, or equivalent;
  • Experience with DBT;
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment using GitHub;
  • Knowledge of data modelling principles;
  • A passion for education technology.
