Summary / Role Purpose The R&D Engineer participates in the software product development as well as divisions supporting these software products. In this role, the R&D Engineer will work with the resolving development issues as a part of a group of specialists. Key Duties and Responsibilities Performs basic development activities, including design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of the software modules and sub-systems. Learns and employs best practices. Within assigned products performs basic bug verification, performs release testing and beta support as and when assigned. Teams such tasks such as technical support in cases of problem raised by QA or product support and problem solutions investigation. Reports directly to a development manager. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience BSc Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field Applies at least a bachelor basic scrum knowledge with two years of experience out or doctoral studies with no experience. Experience of software development or computational numerical analysis Strong aptitude in Physics and Mathematics. Preferred Qualifications and Skills. Experience with Python, C++ or Matlab. Basic understanding of the software lifecycle. A working knowledge of electromagnetic and thermal principles and their applications. Experience using Finite Element software and about Finite Element Method Physical Problem Solutions. An interest in and a potential to address software-related challenges.
